Is it really free?
Yes, on your own Wi‑Fi. Unlimited HD video and audio, no time limit, no fees. Watching when you’re away from home is the paid part, because that traffic travels through a relay we pay for.
Does the video leave my house?
Not on your home network. The two phones talk straight to each other, so nothing passes through us and nothing is stored. Away from home it goes through a relay, encrypted either way.
Do I have to buy a camera?
No. Plinco is two phones you already own. One by the crib, one with you.
What if the phone by the crib drops off Wi‑Fi?
Your phone tells you it lost contact. A monitor that goes quiet because it broke should never look like one that’s quiet because your baby is asleep.
Will it wake me if my phone is locked?
That’s the point of going on call. It arrives as a real phone call, so it rings through like any other.
